Buses arrive in the centre of the town from either Koyembedu
(CMBT) or Tiruvanmiyur (in Chennai)

can also take any bus that has ECR

written on the front,
however be warned some of these ECR buses will drop you outside town, and
|
|
don't go into the town proper.

|
The most direct service to/from Chennai (Rs 22, two hours, 30
daily) is on buses 188 and 118.
|
|
The express (ECR) buses
are fastest. To Chennai airport take bus 108B (Rs 23, two hours, four daily).

|
The Sea Shore Temple is amongst the great monuments of
Mahabalipuram and is designated as

one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
|

The temple is actually a three-in-one complex which has one
Vishnu temple and 2 Shiva temples.
|
|
2.Five Rathas (Pancha Pandava Rathas)五个马车
|
|
This site contains five rathas, literally chariots,
dating from the 7th century. The sculptures are
|
|
complemented by some
enormous stone animals, including a large elephant.
|
|
A combined entrance ticket to the Shore Temple and the Five
Rathas costs Rs 250 for foreigners

You can also hire a cab (non-ac) for about Rs.150 for 2 1/2
hours, during which you will be taken to

all the major tourists
spots in Mamallapuram.

3.Sculpture Museum
|

East Raja Street has
hundreds of sculptures in stone, wood etc.It is well worth a visit.

公车站附近也有一个印度庙，晚上可以去看Puja，捐献Rs2元。

遗跡公园 Mandapams ，这个不用门票，整个公园相当多遗蹟，隨时可以去逛逛，

后面的山丘是赏夕阳的好地方，除了平原景色，还可以瞭望到一条在2004南亚海啸之后，

海水倒流才形成的河，不过公园大约六点半就会开始赶人离开

Mahishasuramardini Cave
|
|
Mahishasuramardini Cave is situated on a hill near Mamallapuram
which houses wonderfully carved
|
|
rock-cut shrines. It is
also known as Mahishasuramardini Mandapa which has a long veranda and 2
|
|
impressive friezes which
are situated at each end of it.

Arjuna's Penance 阿竹那的修行 also
known as the Descent of the Ganges.
|

著名的Arjuna`s Penance（就是有大象的那个石雕），在遗跡公园入口外面的左边，
|

从公园裡也可以爬到石雕上。太多遗跡，族繁不及备载，包括Krishna的奶油球，在公园入口

就可以看到的一颗超大平衡石，大家都喜欢在这裡拍照。

搭乘从Chennai经Mamallapuram开来的巴士，会停在离镇上一段距离的公车站，

若搭乘嘟嘟车到French Quarter（法国区），大约Rs30，走路约三十分钟（很好走，

直直走就会到），不过大太阳下还是会变酷刑啦。
|
|
公车站有许多长程短程的巴士，（Chidambaram,Rs21,车程2小时)，Pondicherry有火车站，
|
|
但不连接於主线上，仅有通勤火车衔接 附近的Villupuram
（站名VM-Villuparam Jn），
|
|
但火车班次不多，故建议搭乘公车前往衔接比较容易。

所以还蛮容易卖完的，所以请尽早预定。

Puducherry的闹街就是Nehru St.，可以买到各式各样的商品。附近有著名的Nilgiri
Supermarket，

是可以买到冷冻牛奶、起司的高级超市喔，同条街一直走有Focus Bookshop，也挺像样的。

Some buses (from Madurai or Trichy) arrive at Thanjavur a the
new bus stand located at 3 km from

the center. There you can
take another bus for the center for Rs. 4, you can ask for the "old bus
stand".

Thanjavur有新、旧两个公车站，从Chidambaram来的公车不一定会进旧站，但你只要一直说

「Big Temple」「Big Temple」，车掌就会在庙附近的十字路口放你下车。住宿地点可以说是集
|
|
中在两区，一个是旧公车站，另一个是火车站附近。
|
|
离开的时候，要先确定你要去的地方，是在新站还是旧站发车，前往Trichy，可以在旧公车站搭乘
|
|
74路或21A，Rs3，十五分钟到新公车站，从新公车站发往Trichy的车，每五分钟一班，Rs18，
|
|
车程1.5小时。

来自四面八方的公车都会抵达Trichy市靠南方的SETC公车站，这裡也就是旅客住宿和交通的
|
|
主要区域，Trichy Jn. Station火车站也在附近，走路大约十五分钟。所以无论公车或火车交通
|
|
都十分便利。
|
|
如果去Tiruchirappalli（又名Trichy）只是转运的话，那很方便，火车站走十分钟左右
|
|
就会到公车总站，附近住的很多，如果要逛市内景 点，坐公车都可以到（印象中是1號公车
|
|
会到Rock Fort），但时间要预估好，Trichy市内往往交通繁忙。

|
|
一出机场门口往左前方停车场寻找橘色公车，不然询问一下机场人员应该就知道方向。
|

从COHIN 机场 到FORT

搭计程车到市区，花了562元。然后到fort
cochin是800
|
|
那时本来也是要到F. Kochi住，但是当地的朋友建议我们住EKM就好，理由是交通比较方便，
|
|
在M.G. Road上面就有旅馆，走路去码头大概是半小时吧。
|
|
从科钦国际机场下机，往Fort kochi公车在"国内线机场大厅"前的停车场，所以面对停车场，
|
|
站牌在"右边"。
|
|
Kochi主要分两个部份，Kochi Fort（景点区）和Ernakulam（交通及现代市区）。所有连外交通
|
|
都是到Ernakulam，在这区KRSTC巴士站离火车站有段距离，而主要热 闹的就在MG路上
|
|
（所以如果坐巴士进城，可以问司机能不能让你在MG路靠火车站这头下）。
|
|
从ernakulam到Kochi Fort，最方便的方式就是搭渡轮（如果搭嘟嘟车或计程车也是会通，
|
|
但是要绕远走桥，所以所费不貲），渡船头（Main Jetty）从火车站过去，搭嘟嘟车大约30rs，
|
|
走路也是可以到啦，沿著Park Ave走到天荒地老一定会到。
|
|
渡船费用2.5rs/一人。渡船是有时间表的。
|
|
到了Kochi Fort的渡船头（Customs Jetty）到热闹区域（Princess
St.），走路大约二十分钟。
|
|
搭嘟嘟车10rs。在Kochi
Fort附近移动，基本上用走路就可以了。

火車站下車後，搭巴士前往柯欽堡(Fort Kochi)巴士站下車，車資7.5RS，搭車時間約20分抵達。

Park Avenue Hotel：一楼双人房400Rs，没窗户空气不好，楼上房间6~800Rs。

|
Sea shore Hotel：宿舍三人间，200/床，房间350Rs。

Villandon Home stay：300Rs大床单人房、附卫浴。没有招牌，门牌就是 Villandon，

位於Peter Cellie Street的Sea shore Hotel隔壁，很标准的Home
Stay，房东住二楼，一楼只有一间

单人间，完全属於我，卫生、无拘束。另外隔壁有一间独立门户的双人房800Rs，

有客厅、厨房、卫浴（没冷气）。也可 以将门打开与单人房相通，很适合家庭住宿。
